Robinhood Chain gas fees measured on 3 October 2026: 0.028 gwei, so a typical NFT mint costs about 1 cent in ETH. The full arithmetic, shown.

Robinhood Chain gas fees are very low: on 3 October 2026 the gas price was 0.028 gwei, which puts a typical NFT mint at about one cent and a simple ETH transfer at a fraction of a cent. Fees are paid in ETH, there is no separate gas token, and the price cannot fall below a fixed floor of 0.02 gwei.
This guide shows where those numbers come from, so you can redo the sum on the day you mint. Everything below was read from the chain's official RPC at 06:08 UTC on 3 October 2026, with the ETH price taken from CoinGecko two minutes earlier.
We asked the official RPC, https://rpc.mainnet.chain.robinhood.com, for the current gas price. It answered 28,389,008 wei, which is 0.0284 gwei, at around block 78,860,500. The same RPC confirmed chain ID 4663.

One reading is a snapshot, so we also sampled the base fee every half hour across the previous week: 336 blocks between 09:17 UTC on 26 September and 06:08 UTC on 3 October 2026.
So across a whole week the busiest half hour we caught was less than twice the quietest. For comparison, when we measured this chain on 23 September 2026 the gas price was 0.052 gwei. It moves, but inside a narrow and very cheap band.
The sum is always the same: gas used multiplied by gas price. A plain ETH transfer uses exactly 21,000 gas. An NFT mint uses more, and the amount depends on the contract. We use 150,000 gas as a round working figure for one mint, with 100,000 and 250,000 as a lighter and a heavier case. Your wallet shows the real estimate for the real contract before you confirm.
At 0.0284 gwei, with ETH at $2,676.84 (CoinGecko, 06:06 UTC on 3 October 2026):
Worked through for the typical case: 150,000 gas times 0.0284 gwei is 4,260 gwei, which is 0.00000426 ETH. Multiply by $2,676.84 and you get a little over one cent.
Run the same mint at the two ends of the week and the answer barely changes. At the 0.02 gwei floor it costs about $0.008. At the week's highest sample, 0.036 gwei, it costs about $0.014. Even at ten times today's price the same mint would be around 11 cents.
Put the other way round: one dollar of ETH on Robinhood Chain covered roughly 87 typical mints at the price we measured.
Robinhood Chain is an Ethereum Layer 2 built on Arbitrum technology. It runs your transaction on its own network, then posts a compressed record to Ethereum. The official gas and fees documentation describes two parts to every fee:
Both parts are bundled into the gas your transaction pays. You never pay them separately, and the fee preview in your wallet already includes both.
We read the chain's own pricing contract at the same moment. It reported a minimum gas price of 0.02 gwei and a congestion surcharge of about 0.008 gwei on top, which is where the 0.028 figure comes from. The Ethereum data share for one typical transaction was about 0.0000000035 ETH, around a thousandth of a cent. The Arbitrum fee documentation explains the floor: the gas price on an Arbitrum chain has a set minimum, and it rises above that only when the chain is busy.
No. The Robinhood Chain documentation says the network uses a first come, first served sequencing model, where order is decided strictly by arrival time at the sequencer. When we asked the RPC for a suggested priority fee it answered zero. Paying extra does not move you up the queue, so the default fee your wallet suggests is the right one.
Speed is not something you buy here either. Over the last 100,000 blocks before our reading, the chain produced a block about every tenth of a second.
Yes, and it probably never applied to you. crypto.news reported on 4 September 2026 that the 90 day subsidy began with mainnet on 1 July and was due to expire on 29 September. It covered costs for people using the Robinhood Wallet app. The same report notes that anyone on MetaMask, Rabby or another third-party wallet was already paying standard gas.
So the figures on this page are the real, unsubsidised cost. They are the numbers a mint through a normal wallet has always paid on this chain.
Very little. A typical mint costs about 0.000004 ETH, so even one dollar of ETH leaves a wide margin for a busy day and for a few extra transactions afterwards. The gas on Robinhood Chain will almost certainly be the smallest cost in the whole process. Getting the ETH there costs more than using it.
If your ETH is on another network, the easiest route is the Swap button inside MetaMask, and the official Arbitrum bridge suits larger sums. Both are compared in our guide to bridging ETH to Robinhood Chain. If the network is not in your wallet yet, add Robinhood Chain to MetaMask first.
Our own collection is a fair example. Ethernal Cubs is 3,333 Orbs on Robinhood Chain, and the whitelist mint opens on 29 October 2026 at 14:00 UTC and runs to 5 November. The mint price is zero, so gas is the only cost. At the prices measured today that is about one cent.

ETH. The official documentation says Robinhood Chain uses ETH as its native gas token, with fees denominated in ETH the same as on Ethereum. There is no separate network token to buy.
The mint price can be zero, but every transaction still needs gas. On 3 October 2026 that gas came to about one cent for a typical mint. A wallet holding no ETH on Robinhood Chain cannot mint, even when the mint itself costs nothing.
They can rise when the chain is busy, because a congestion surcharge is added on top of the 0.02 gwei floor. In the week we sampled, the highest base fee was 0.036 gwei. A mint would still cost about 11 cents at ten times the price we measured.
Wallets usually add a safety margin to the gas limit and sometimes to the price. You are charged for the gas actually used, so the final fee on the explorer is often lower than the preview. The contract you are minting from may also simply use more gas than our 150,000 working figure.
