Robinhood Chain in October 2026: transactions fell after a fee offer ended, DEX volume passed $100 billion, and stock tokens grew. Sourced and dated.

The short version of Robinhood Chain news in October 2026: activity cooled after a gas fee offer ended on 29 September, while trading volume, deposits and stock token products kept growing. Daily transactions fell by roughly 42% from mid September, yet the chain passed $100 billion in all time decentralised exchange volume and out traded Base over 30 days.
This is our honest roundup of the first half of the month. Every number links to where it came from, and the ones we could check ourselves we read live on 15 October 2026. We build a game on this chain, so we have a reason to watch it closely, and a reason to tell it straight.
Robinhood had been paying the gas for qualifying swaps made through Robinhood Wallet, and that offer was due to end at 11:59 p.m. EST on 29 September, as Bitcoin.com News reported. When free transactions stop, the cheapest activity is the first to go, and that is what the numbers show.
According to Cryptonomist on 11 October, citing growthepie and CoinDesk:
The same report says fee coverage for eligible Robinhood Wallet swaps above $0.50 was then extended through 31 December 2026. The Daily Hodl covered the same slowdown on 12 October. Our read: a drop in transaction count after a subsidy is normal, and it says more about bots and tiny swaps than about real users leaving.
On 15 October 2026 at 02:05 UTC we pulled the DefiLlama DEX dashboard data for Robinhood Chain, Base and Arbitrum ourselves. Here is what it said:
So the headline holds: roughly three and a half months after its 1 July mainnet launch, the chain has done more than $100 billion in on chain trading, and its 30 day DEX volume is ahead of Base. Bitcoin.com News gives the monthly shape from the same source: about $15.3 billion in July, $19.4 billion in August and $56 billion in September, with Uniswap V3 and V4 together making up roughly three quarters of all volume.
Two honest caveats. Volume is not users: a few busy trading bots can move a lot of money. And a Bit.com analysis cited in that article found more than 80% of DEX volume through late July was memecoin trading, so much of this is speculation, not long term use.
DefiLlama listed Robinhood Chain's total value locked at about $1.04 billion when we checked on 15 October 2026. Cryptonomist reported deposits up about 2% to $1.04 billion during the first full week of October, with stablecoin supply around $1.1 billion. In other words, the money stayed even when the transaction count dropped.
Different trackers count different things, such as bridged assets versus deposits in apps, so you will see other totals quoted. Compare like with like. If you are moving funds in yourself, the stablecoin to look for is USDG, which our guide to Robinhood Chain USDC and USDG explains.
Most of October's product news was about stock tokens and plumbing, not consumer apps. The items we could source:
Stock tokens are not available to everyone. Coverage repeatedly notes they are unavailable to U.S. persons and offered to eligible customers in other countries under local rules, so check what your own account allows.
Yes. On 15 October 2026 at 02:05 UTC we asked the official RPC directly. It confirmed chain ID 4663, returned block 88,853,274, and quoted a gas price of 21,028,000 wei, which is about 0.021 gwei. At that price a typical NFT mint of around 150,000 gas costs about 0.0000032 ETH, a fraction of a cent.
That matches what we measured earlier in the month in our Robinhood Chain gas fees guide. The fee spikes reported in late August and early September came from a very busy stretch, and growthepie data cited by Cryptonomist says those 12 days produced about 74% of the third quarter's network fees. Normal days are far quieter.
Honestly, they are still a small corner of the chain. None of the October coverage we found led with NFTs or games: the money and the headlines are in trading. OpenSea supports the chain, and our checked list of Robinhood Chain games shows how early the gaming side still is.
That is also why we are here. Ethernal Cubs is a game where every Cub is built from parts you choose and swap, with an AI companion that will be able to chat and play alongside you when it arrives. The collection starts as 3,333 Orbs, a free mint (you pay only gas) on Thursday 29 October 2026 at 14:00 UTC, running to Thursday 5 November. The whitelist board closes on Wednesday 28 October at 23:59 UTC.
The numbers do not say that. Transactions fell about 42% after a gas offer ended, but value locked stayed around $1.04 billion and 30 day DEX volume was still ahead of Base when we checked on 15 October 2026.
Public mainnet went live on 1 July 2026. It is an Ethereum Layer 2 built on Arbitrum technology, with chain ID 4663.
According to Cryptonomist, coverage for eligible Robinhood Wallet swaps above $0.50 was extended through 31 December 2026. Other wallets and other transactions, such as NFT mints, still pay their own gas, which is tiny.
DefiLlama shows value locked and DEX volume, growthepie tracks activity, and the chain's block explorer shows individual transactions. Our guide to the Robinhood Chain explorer walks through it.
