Most NFTs sit untouched in a wallet. Here is why, and how Ethernal Cubs plans to fix it with a builder, games, cartoons, toys and a fragrance of your own.

Most NFTs fail for a simple reason: after the mint, there is nothing to do with them. They sit in a wallet, you look at them twice, and the only number anyone talks about is the floor price.
Ethernal Cubs is built around the opposite idea. A Cub is something you make, play with, watch, hold in your hand and even wear. This post is our honest view of why so many collections go quiet, and the plan we are building to make an NFT worth opening every day.
Walk through almost any wallet and you will find the same thing: pictures that were exciting for a week. The art is often good. The problem is everything around it.
We have lived this ourselves. Proud Lion Studios launched Proud Lions Club on Ethereum in 2022 and later GUI Lions on Aptos, and the lesson from both was clear: holders stay when there is something to do together, and drift away when there is not.
Ethernal Cubs starts from a different place. You do not mint a finished character. You mint a sealed Orb, open it at ethernalcubs.ai, and build a Cub of your own from what it holds. Parts can be swapped at any time, so your Cub is never frozen the day it mints. If you want the background, our post on what a composable NFT is explains how parts and slots work.
Building is the hook, but it is only the first step. Everything else we are working on hangs off the Cub you make, so the effort you put into it keeps paying off in new places.
Think of the moment a child walks out of a build your own bear workshop with a bear they stuffed, dressed and named themselves. That is the feeling we want for a Cub. We are working on custom physical toys made from the Cub you assembled, so the character on your screen can sit on your desk too. Because every Cub is built by its owner, no two orders will be the same.
This is the part we are most excited about. Ethernal Cubs is partnering with a custom perfume boutique in Dubai, with shipping worldwide, to turn Cubs into scents.
We like this idea because it does something no picture can. It turns a digital character into a personal object you use every day, and it lets the community create a product line out of their own builds.
Ethernal Cubs are already animated, and they belong to Proud Lion Studios, which also runs Leomen, its AI film making studio. We plan to use Leomen to produce a short cartoon series and a short movie for YouTube and TikTok.
That last point matters to us. The cartoons are not just marketing. They are meant to put the community's characters on screen and send what they make back into the ecosystem those characters live in.
Jungle Run is the endless runner from Proud Lion Studios: jump, slide and swipe through the jungle, collect what you can and chase a better score. Its world runs on Jungle Gems, and the Jungle Run whitepaper sets out how they are earned through verified gameplay.
Ethernal Cubs are coming to Jungle Run as playable characters. You will be able to run with the Cub you built, in your own build, and win in-game rewards for how you play. To be plain about it: these are game rewards for playing, not an income, and nobody should buy anything expecting a return.
The last piece is the one that runs through everything else. Ethernal Cubs is designed to make other people's NFTs useful too. Holders of Proud Lions Club and GUI Lions earn whitelist spots directly, and partner collections already have their own routes onto the whitelist. Instead of every collection living in its own corner, Cubs give different communities a shared character to build, play and create with.
Each Cub will also become an AI companion you can talk to, with that feature coming soon. A character you built, that remembers you, that shows up in cartoons, games, toys and a fragrance, is a very different thing from a picture in a wallet.
We would rather show you the plan honestly than promise dates we cannot keep. As each piece gets closer, we will write about it here first.
Usually because there is nothing to do after the mint. With no game, no building and no reason to come back, the only activity left is trading, and a community built only on price does not last.
That is the plan. Every part carries a scent ID and a tone, so the Cub you build has its own fragrance. Once you lock your Cub, you will be able to order that fragrance in a custom bottle with your Cub's image, shipped worldwide, and other people will be able to order it too as part of The Ethernal Light.
Holders will be able to submit their Cubs for episodes of the series Proud Lion Studios plans to make with Leomen, and to make their own Cub stories as well.
Earn a whitelist spot before the board closes on Wednesday 28 October 2026 at 23:59 UTC, then mint your free Orb from Thursday 29 October at 14:00 UTC. Our guide to every way to earn a whitelist spot lists the routes.
NFTs do not have to be boring. Come and build one that is not, at ethernalcubs.ai.
